Good Luck. The same size from different manufacturers will be different. You have to try the shoes on to be sure they fit right.

I have summer cycling shoes, and a pair if winter cycling shoes.
Both Pearl Izumi;
Both size "47".
The summer shoes have a huge amount of space beyond the toes, but the 46 were too short when I tried them on, so I went with 47.
I ordered the winter shoes online, confident they would be the same size.
They are enough shorter that I sometimes get blisters on the ends of my toes from rubbing the end of the shoe.
And I wear the *same* socks with both.

I wear a 13 shoe size usually. It is the fit that counts and not the size. My feet always get a veto power on the shoes I buy. Because if I don't listen to them, I find that I don't wear the shoes. The revenge of the feet.
I usually wear a size 48 bike shoe.
I usually wear a size 48 bike shoe.

Sometimes the fit is different between two pairs *of the same shoe*. Don't ask me how it's possible but it is.

It's been my experience that you have to be very careful with cycling shoes and sizing. I wear an 10 1/2 to 11 shoe, and can usually wear a 45 or 46. Currently, I have Shimano 45.5s. I'd go to your LBS and try on as many shoes of different brands as you can (Shimano, Specialized, Sidi, etc.) and make sure you determine what size works for you in each brand and go from there.
