    Schwalbe Marathon Plus 26/1.95

Hi, being a newbie - I need advise. I am looking for Schwalbe Marathon Plus for my mountain bike. I currently have 26' x 1.95 tires, but don't seem to find Marathon Plus tires for this size. The nearest match I found was 26' x 1.75, but I guess this wouldn't work, correct?

    Thanks in advance.

The 1.75 should work fine and if you are riding ion the road a slightly narrower tyre will be better as far as speed goes.

The Marathon is an excellent tire, and the 1.75 should fit fine. For what it's worth, though, it's quite heavy. Unless you need that extra durability and strength, you might want to look at something like a Panaracer Pasela, which is less chunky but still tough.

The actual ETRTO size is listed as 47 x 559 which is actually closer to 1.85" wide rather than the named 26 x 1.75" wide so actually it is probably quite close to your original tire diameter and width.

If using the bike on the road you could quite probably go considerably narrower without any bad effects.

Thanks everybody, I went with the Panaracer Pasela which also came in 1.75, and I just love them. But nobody here "warned" me what a wonderful difference they would make compared to my older 1.95 mtb tires.
PS: Only downside is that I couldn't fit my thorn-resistant tubes in there anymore.

I have the Marathon Plus 26x1.75. I really like them. They are heavy but durable.
