question re: Saddle placement & seatpost

All- purchased a Terry Fly and did the knee over the pedal measurement and to me the rails on this saddle are short- see photo. Is this bad how I have the saddle positioned? I've rode about 66 miles this way and it seems fine. Would a different seatpost with a longer setback(??) help place the rails more in the center? I'm confused on setback, layback, etc re: seatposts.

    any advice would be appreciated...

I've had several since 1999 but have settled on my beloved 2001 Litespeed Tuscany and my latest, a 2013 Cannondale CAAD 10.

I have a Terry Fly on my CX bike and a Terry Fly for the Cure on my road bike. Both saddles are about midway on the rail.
    What bike do you have?

Schwinn peloton. Nothing fancy. My specialized alias didn't have this problem.

Your clamp is still on the flat part of the rails, so I would think you are fine, as long as the fit is right with it where it is.

If you want to replace your seatpost later for another reason, pick one with a little more setback.

I thought more setback was needed. Got a Thomson Elite. Need my wife around to help measure the knee to pedal, etc. More adjustments necessary.
