What would you do?

Here's the deal....

I'm a roadie at heart, who thought he would want to go to the mountains and ride the trails as an alternative. Turns out I was wrong, way wrong, and now I have a new MTB sitting in the garage. Don't see it getting much use, and I feel bad for it just letting it sit there. What would you do?

1. Try to sell it (criagslist/ ebay)
2. Try to trade it for a road bike
3. Do nothing

TIA

4. Give it to me and I'll use it a lot and send you an email every once in a while about how happy the bike is.

Sell it, or trade it. Where do you live, and what kind of bike?

2009 Cannondale F5 - Medium.
North Jersey.

Ideally I would love to do a straight trade for an aluminum track bike 53cm - 55cm

The thread seems legitimate, but let's not turn this into a for sale or trade thread about this bike, as there are specific places for that...

For Sale requires a paid membership, and trades should be in the specific threads that are sticky in certain subforums.

I think there is a for trade thread in the Northeast regional forum...

Thanks!

Bike messengers around here prefer to use mountain bikes in the inner city, using light weight slick tires. A mountain bike is tougher and more durable on torn-up and bombed out inner city streets than the typical road bike. For daily rides of five or ten miles, a good mountain bike with light slick tires is an ideal bike.

Go ahead and give mountain riding another try.

Or use it as a bad weather commuter.
