    Beer and Wine Bottles

Hi, all. I was wondering if I can get some help from any cycling enthusiasts here...

I have a one-bedroom apartment that I would like to decorate with cycling-related pictures, photos, statutes, models and the like (I have some of those items already). I have a bike stand with four REAL bicycles on it in my apt. so I would like to stick with that theme if I can.

Anyway I saw some wine bottles at the store with pictures of bicycles on the labels so I got the idea to start collecting them. So far I have Cono Sur, Red Bicyclette, and last night I just picked up a bottle of Cycles Gladiator. Anybody here know of any others? Beer bottles, too, don't forget that! And even soda bottles, such as Jones (that reminds me, I need to pick up some of that!).

I have an old china cabinet in my living room with some Brooks saddles and some Campagnolo parts on display and I'm wanting to display the bottles there. Any help would be appreciated.

Look up Radler bier labels and posters in Germany. It is a lime or lemon flavored Pils type of beer made by numerous breweries and almost all feature a bicycling motif. Radler is German for Bicyclist

Make friends with the LBS and/or dumpster dive. I know from when I worked retail stores are always throwing out posters and marketing stuff. Pick up that and decorate with it. Some stores may even like it since its less waste going in the trash.

Thank you for that suggestion, enine.

However I'm trying to avoid the marketing and promotional material as to not wanting my place to look like a bike shop. My wife is already having a fit because I'm displaying four bikes in our bedroom and have one in the closet. My basement is shared with the other tenants so my junk/parts/frames etc. goes there.

I should note that my apartment is in a three-story brick Victorian covered with vines and one side of it has stained-glass windows (probably not real ones but I'm not sure). I'm trying to keep things classy and tasteful to "keep up appearances"!.

    Again I appreciate your suggestion!
