I recently acquired a bike made by Mango-It is a Mango Kea with 26" wheels, coaster brake and single speed-the rear hub has "Sun Tour" stamped on it and the rims are stamped with the letters "CMC"-

There is nothing else on this bike which would ID the place of manufacture or the manufacturer-

Do any of you guys/gals know anything about this bike? Where can you get parts etc-any help would be greatly appreciated-

You should be able to get components at most decent bike shops.

Mango bikes?? Here's the only link I found. I'm guessing you didn't get it at a bike shop.

This thread was certainly brought back from the dead. ???

The old "Mango" was donated to charity recently. It still rode good, brake works good but not to good lookin'. I put a lot of miles on that bike. I hope someone else does the same-New tires tubes and strips. This organization gives them away to needy people. God bless.

I could never find out anything about this bike. I bought it used myself.

This got me curious, so I googled around some. There IS a Mango company that does bicycle and ski helmets. It could be that they imported some bikes under their name. Their current website doesn't show any bikes, though: https://www.mangosportsystem.it

There is also a "Mango" bike company in the Florida Keys but this bike was really old and looked nothing like these newer bikes. It had the Mango name in big letters across the back of a very comfortable wide vinyl seat and the names/logos were all decals. It was a step through frame (female) and was painted a puke green. The handle bar was long horn steer like and was covered with black rubber grip material.

Well, I was just at a store today that had a number of Mango bikes- no idea if these are anything like what you had. Anyway, they seemed to be the typical low-end Chinese-made bicycles, although I didn't price them. These were at Spectrum Cycle in Plano, which is the the brick-and-mortar equivalent to Bike Island, which has a flashing ad on this site. These folks also have a bunch of Gravity brand unicycles on Ebay, and I understand they are made by the same company as the Mango bikes.

I tried the Bikes Direct link above, and it seemed to be outdated- but just now I clicked on the ad and there it is:

Looking some more, I find that the package address for Bikes Direct is in fact the same address in Plano as that for Bike Island, which in turn is the Spectrum Cycle address.

Mango is the name brand such as Ford and below that there are models..Macaw, Tucan, Salty Dog, Longboard, Kiwi, Kew Largo, Key West, etc. The Macaws are a steel frames as are the Kiwi's but other than that its Aluminum and stainless with zinc chains. They are rather popular and comfortable..with some being more comfortable than others obviously.

I purchased a 7 speed Mango Tucan in early 2005 from a bike shop in Orlando, FL. It is a great cruiser and very comfortable. In fact, the seat is so comfortable it now sits on my Townie 21. Was looking for another seat when came across this forum.
