I'm new to the site, and fairly new to the world of REAL biking, sure, i've had a bicycle since a young child, but alas lately, i've been more persistent with the long distance riding, and the trail. I'd really enjoy to get into the mountain biking aspect more, over and through rocks, is a real plus for me. There aren't very many spots around here that are accessible for the everyday rider, so far the only place i've found was a short distance and then it got too intense and involved climbing. I'm trying out another place within the next few weekends. Enough about my adventures on my fathers, walmart royce union.
As much as I would like to solely do mountain biking, I know that's a stretch of the imagination, so I need a bicycle that is good on the streets too, especially with a vehicle that gets about 12 mpg and gas soon to sky rocket again. So I am thinking of some sort of hybrid mountain bike? Durable, yet not horrific on the street. Can anyone help me out here? I have been looking at the FUJI Sunfire L2000. The cheapest one, I believe it's the 3.0.
Also, Ill probably buy used since my budget is under $300.
So with all that in mind, who can help me!?
Thank you in advance,
(note: If you read this in the other forum, I've edited, and explained i'd like it deleted to reduce clutter, sorry for the confusion, i'm new to the site)
