Cruiser seat

I'm building up a girls urban commuter/cruiser bike and I was wondering what do I look for in a seat

I have access to many old seats like:

Except older, they are more squared edges and I believe it is a leather exterior.

Are those fine or were they engineered to be better recently?

Just put something cheap on it, it doesn't matter. The individual rider is just as likely to hate an eighty dollar seat as an eight dollar seat. The one in the photo. seems better than average, it has springs and looks good. Females are sensative to saddles, probably more than males. Guys though, can be "proud" of how slick the saddle appears, they're apt to actually prefer a saddle bsed on such.. to a point.

been my experience anyway
