Do you use the bus or other form of transit?
I'm wondering how many cyclists use transit in some form. I'm developing open source transport planning software that can be used offline and I think should significantly alleviate some of the pains of public transit, especially for cyclists who are constricted to the usual walking-distance and walking-time limits of most transit planners. I'm pursuing the software in this thread, https://www.bikeforums.net/living-car-free/595517-offline-multi-mode-transport-planner-open-source.html, and I'm curious how many cyclists use transit and how many people might actually consider using transit with something like this.

I would if it were available. Things are getting better in the West, but except in big cities, public transit just isn't that convenient. Reno, where I live, actually has quite a good system, even bike racks on the buses, but we're about 10 miles out of town and the buses don't come here. There's a mountain and a couple of miles of freeway shoulder between me and town. I ride to work 75 or so times a year (25-mile RT), but if I could catch a bus for just the first four miles, I'd do that every day the roads weren't icy.

I walk, ride my bike, or ride the DC Metro Bus and Metro Light Rail (AKA: The DC Subway)
Howard County also has a local bus I have not ridden yet but I'd like to try it sometime.

For most errands I use a bicycle.
To get to work I ride an old bike to the bus stop, lock it there, and take the bus to Los Angeles.
If I'm not in a hurry I'll walk, perhaps use a bus for part of the trip, or use a skateboard.
Occasionally I have to use a car for carrying things too big for a bike trailer.

I can either bike to school which takes me a little under an hour or,
Take the light rail and arrive in 40 minutes.
It really depends on how lazy I feel, the amount of traffic, and the time of the day. This will change as soon as my helmet arrives and I invest in some reflective gear.
