The First bike I ever lusted after, was a PK Ripper, I had a Raleigh frame with parts cast off by all my friends, a tough neck, redline handlebars and crank, and Araya wheels. That bike is still being ridden, like they say, Steel is real!
right now, mu lust is concentrated on My Stumpjumper, and the desire to remove more of the specialized parts... dont you hate bill-boards?
But as a second choice, Maybe the Colnago FS-1? I mean a guy can dream cant he?

I remember growing up riding the Huffy "ATB" my parents got me from *-Mart one Christmas and drooling over the Fisher Supercalibers in the biking mags. Then I eventually stepped up to a Specialized Hard Rock in 1988 (the very first bike purchased with my own cash) and began lusting over the Mantis XCRs. Two years later after destroying the chainstay of the Hard Rock, I had scraped up enough money and was able to afford one of the Nishiki made mass-marketted versions of the XCR... the Ariel. In actuality it was the same design of the previous year's Alien (1989 was the first year for the Alien)... the Alien having moved to an Al frame with the same geometry for 1990. Of course even as I bought the Ariel, I was really lusting after the AlienACX (that I couldn't afford) which had basically the same Alien/Ariel frame geometry/design but used a square Al front triangle and a chromoly rear triangle that was bolted on.

Of course to me, the Mantis Flying-V was really the thing to have back then.

Since then I've discovered more and more bikes to lust over...
