Wal-Mart bikes in general, not just the Schwinnclones, are one-size-fits-some, made for the 'average American', about 5'9", 165 lb. Vo2 max of about 12.

Translates roughly to 17-18" frame. Different models have different frame geo.

So a Trek 820 in VG condition with an 18inch frame for sixty bucks is a reasonable alternative winter beater?

Oh, HECK Yeah! Any frame that's unbent/unbroken is worth $60!
