Schwinn Avenue help

Bought this awhile back but need to replace a crank arm. Looking to buy a crank removal tool w/ handle but unsure if its square-tapered-- I guess I should just buy a universal wrench for this?

anyone know the size and/or offset on the stock arms and should i just replace both while I am at it?

used mostly for on-road riding and getting the shepherd his miles in.

just an fyi, I somehow stripped out the crank arm/pedal when riding. I didnt think I cross-threaded the bolt but i guess I did. Had to walk the bike back when I was at my farthest point from home. thats when it broke of course.

suggestions appreciated on all of the above as well as what type pedals would be good replacements. (both the arm and pedal are stripped)

Your bike will have a square taperspindle. https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...2_10000_201508 Take your old cranks to the shop for replacement. The offset of cranks varies.
