a very tall bike

My buddy Colleen promotes cycling to kids and their parents and took delivery of a new bike from Trek. She is over 6'6 and it was made to fit her frame. The paint on it is amazing. Here is her blog post on it with lots of photos. It is a takeoff on their new eco line.

Interesting... but why all the cheap parts? I'd think you'd put decent quality parts on a custom bike.

FWIW: her friend needs to pump up her tires:

Were I that tall, I'd be happy enough to have something that fits, even if it meant Tourney.

The white rubber tires with black sidewalls is an interesting touch.

It isn't so much of a custom bike as it is a prototype -- although there is probably similar effort and cost.

OK... but that's an awfully "small" market. At 6-foot-6, Colleen's in the top tenth of a percent in height.

(FWIW: I'm 6-foot-4, my wife's 5-foot-10. Our legs are the same length, though.)

I wonder how much Isaac Brock gets for each one of those bikes sold

Edit: apparently can't link to the graphic on the blog
