What's your annual mileage

For those who keep track, how many miles do you travel by bike in a typical year (trainer miles don't count!)

I'll do about 4500 a year, but the open roads are only really tolerable April-October (7 months ), so I'm getting a little anxious for my season to start (winter commuting helps, but I'm starting to get pretty jealous of hearing about all the people who are starting to get out on group rides again). April 3 is my first ride... the temperature will be right around the freezing mark, but the roads should be clear. Can't wait!

About 4500 as well but 2500 of them are on a lightly loaded cylocross/commuter, slightly heavier loaded tourer/commuter, studded tires, and/or a mountain bike. That deserves a little consideration. When people ask, I usually say "close to 5,000."

I'm right at the cutover, sometimes below 4000, sometimes above. So of course I claimed the higher range.

6,800 last year, goal this year is 7,500. Living in Florida has its advantages, no snow no ice and the rain isn't to bad to ride in, during the summer months.

easily 6000 miles. More if I sneak in a bike vacation/tour. My year is not complete if I don't do at least one.

2,000-3,000 usually seem to average around 2500. Most of my riding is utility, to and from grocery stores and brew pubs.

I only have a computer on one bike so that is my best guess based on number of days and typical routes. I usually know how long the route is I am riding and how many times I ride it.

Seems like it was 6200 last year, and I'm trying to do 500 miles a month this year as well. I track miles on bikejournal also.

For quite a few years I rode approximately 10,000 km a year. I guess that's about 6000 miles. Then I returned to university and the cycling dropped off to about 7000 km a year (4000-ish miles). With any luck, I'm hoping to get back up to the 10,000 km a year point again now that I'm finished university.

I'm not sure what to put in the poll ... my recent distances or my previous distances and current goal.

I keep track on bikejournal, Big Dogs, and my own Excel spreadsheet.

Haha, it was like 16k last year, 18k the year before and 20k the year before that. I didn't keep great records before that, but it was much less.

I'm getting there, but we had a poor start this year with the snow storms in February.

My next milestone is 15k miles.

Following your trend and mine, we'll converge and then I can start to catch up!

This year is looking similar to last. It's hard to say since I am now working with a coach, I don't know exactly what the rest of the year will bring. And the miles aren't important to me (they were the year I did 20k).

I've done one/tenth of umd's mileage.
