How many bicycles do you own that you actually ride & keep in good condition?
Some of us own only one bicycle. Some of us own more than one, sometimes for different purposes. But how many bicycles do you own that you actually continue to ride and keep in good condition? What do yuo use it/them for? I''ll start with my contribution.
I currently own only one bicycle, a Trek 850 Antelope which I bought new in 1990. After equipping it with tires which are good for on and off-road use and other accessories, I've ridden it for thousands of miles on almost every type of terrain. I continue to keep it in good operable condition and continue using it in the present day

Right now, three, with a fourth on deck.
2006 Trek Portland--This is my default bike. Four-seasons, all-conditions commuter and grocery getter. Excellent bike for centuries too.
2000 Trek 1000--Backup commuting bike in the three-seasons. Until I bought the third bike, it also was my fast ride fun bike.
1999 Schwinn Peloton--Fast ride fun bike. Bought it used in February for barely more than a song. Its original owner is responsible for all the upgrades.
On deck: 1996 Litespeed Classic--I'm buying it from a guy in my club, giving him a few bucks every payday. With geometry very similar to the Schwinn, I'll be using it to figure out which material I prefer--steel or titanium.

I can only manage 2 bikes at a time. I tried owning 3 a few years ago but found that bike #3 was ignored.
Here is a not current picture of my main ride (pedals different).
Here's bike #2.

Just two.
Good-weather-bike, a road bike.
Bad-weather-bike, a cx bike with fenders.
I've had up to seven in the garage, but I only ride two. I'm car-free.

I have 5:
1) And the least used, is a Dahon folding bike. I mostly use it when traveling, and bring it with me.
2) Is my fast, fun bike - Peter Mooney Custom steel frame, Campy 3x10 speed drive train - only bike with indexed shifting built 2004
3) Is a commuter - also a Peter Mooney custom steel frame, 1X8 drivetrain This bike gets the most miles built 2009
4) Is a utility bike, backup for commuting, Frame is a 2000 Bianchi San Remo touring bike, franken components, sturdy
5) Is a '73 Schwinn Paramount Tandem. 3x7 drivetrain, built like a tank.
I do not own a car.

A bunch...all my bikes are maintained ready to ride. Unless they happen to be disassembled waiting their turn for maintenance or waiting on parts. I travel...a lot, so the bike that gets the most use is currently my Raleigh R20. When I am home on the occasional weekend, the tandem, the Raleigh Superbe/Colt get ridden. If I am home by myself on a weekend the Redline R530. If I am doing an S24O either the Giant Excursion or the Giant Iguana (currently waiting on parts). If I happen to be in town and staying at my parents house the old Raleigh Sports.

Working on bikes for me is very relaxing. I keep them clean and running smooth. Just to much money wraped up in them to treat them poorly.
Main winter/rain/commuter and all round fun bike.
My off road beast.

Cross bike and dirt road explorer.
I also have a Burley Tandem but no pic to post.

I have 4. A Motobecane Fantom CX, currently outfitted with fenders and a rack for commuting, a Raleigh Gran Sport as my road bike, a 72 Schwinn Super Sport set up as a single speed, and a Surly Pacer which is my century ride and in truth will probably replace the Raleigh. Currently, the Schwinn is in my office for cruising around the city on the odd day that I drive in, the Raleigh is in the shop being tuned ( I told my LBS there was no rush, I might see it again in 2011) and I'm alternating between the Motobecane and the Pacer depending on the weather. Of course, this doesn't stop me from ordering a LHT so I can convert the Motobecane back into a CX rig for the fall season. And part of me really want's a Pugsley.

I have one in complete state of being, and a 2nd ready for another build-up.
The main ride, and it will ALWAYS be my main ride til it dies, is my Dakar XLT. Yup, FS/AM mountain bike, for utility/commuting/fun/trails/whatever. My size and riding style require the sturdiness, my 3 herniated lumbar discs require the suspension, and my love for dirt requires it to be MTB! I get a little ticked when I hear people talk about how much FS bobs under pedaling -- let me introduce you to one that doesn't! The suspension moves for bumps, not for oomphs. Spin or mash, it doesn't matter.
My 'other' bike is a generic hardtail, the suss post is already there, the crank is installed, I'm just waiting for the other parts to pop up into play. This bike will only see occasional use, that's how much i love my Dakar!

I only ride my Surly Cross Check and unicycle regularly. The unicycle requires zero maintenance, so I only have to maintain one bike.

Usually keep around 2-3/ Primary ride is a Giant Rincon, converted to more of a hybrid type bike. Also, just finished reworking a sweet old reproduction Raleigh, called the Raleigh Retroglide Six. [ there is a retro 7 as well ] This bikes reminds me of the big ballon tire Cruiser I grew up with. I usually have a 3 speed around, too, but not right now.

Yay, I'm down to one. I parted my mountain bike, sold my singlespeed so I'm left with my commuter bike. But I'm building two Kona Sutras for me and my wife. I hope to build up a Big Dummy later this year. I don't have room for more bikes I'd love to build a light mountain/cross country bike.
Chip, wow, 6 bikes?!
