what a difference

i just rode a 2010 specialized allez alite, comparing against my 1988 bianchi with syncho shifters. first thing i notice is that i was blown away with the shifting of the 105, it seems as i have been living in the dark ages. the frame seems to ride as nice if not better and is stiffer because on the bianchi my chain will start rubbing when i sprint. if i had the money i would probably upgrade in a heart beat. So do you guys have similiar experiences where you try out a different bike and can tell it's just that much better.

:wtf: You test rode a new bike knowing that you had no intention of buying it? Is that legal?
Save your money and buy the bike.

Of course it's legal - and a good salesman will encourage it. Note that although the OP doesn't have the money right now, he's made the decision to upgrade as soon as he can get it. Looks like the test ride did its job!
