So I was biking along and for no reason at all, my bike decided to go flying up in the air like a ****** bronco, throwing me off in the process. I managed to get quite a stream of obscenities out before hitting the ground (and plenty more after, of course). Luckily, the only damage to me was a scraped elbow and pissed-off mood, but my B17 did not fare so well.

In retrospect, I was going down a hill and taking a left turn up another hill, and was probably braking on the way down, I think that's what made me briefly able to fly. Still, it doesn't seem quite physically possible...I blame gremlins.

You guys ever seen anything like this?

I bent my Brooks in a freak accident and it looked like yours. I was able to straighten it out to factory-like condition. See the story at this link

I have selle San Marco Concor that is in the same shape, I haven't tried to straighten. I think your cro-mo rails will bend back easily.

Nice. I'll contact Brooks - actually, I have someone who's buying the bike in a week (I'm leaving the country then) so I'll have to let him know if/how it can be fixed.
