Movies for when on the trainer?

Does anyone have any suggestions for bicycling movies/videos to pick up for watching while doing some rides on teh trainer? I'm up for Road biking, Cross Country/trail riding, and triathlons, so if anybody has some suggestions for those rainy northwest pacific winters that would be great.

watch something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4PufTT-u5E ;)

i like to watch things with action, car chases, etc. to keep me going. anything with long dialogues would cause me to pedal slower and fall asleep

When I was in college I would always watch "Field of Dreams" when on the trainer. It drove my roommate nuts. He was always yelling "We have other movies you know".

Why does it have to be movies? If you're going to introduce a distraction to your training focus, it might as well be Tour, Giro & Classics vids of pro riders with their perfect spinning form.

I recently (finally!) learned that if I'm paying any kind of attention to whatever's on the screen (or on the headphones), I don't train as well. My spin gets sloppy, I forget to breath deeply, I start slouching...

I make my own from rides I've made during the riding season, filming as I go. I burn them off to dvd and watch what ever I'm in the mood for. They run in length from
1 1/2 to 3 hours. Sound is the missing element, so I listen to cds. This does take a bit of time with editing, production and using some software.

You could video tape yourself on the trainer and watch that over and over...

I like stuff like the Simpsons or Bullwinkle or maybe a TV series on DVDs

the fact that each episode is around 20 minutes suits me right down to the ground since I do either 45 or 60 minute sessions in the winter. I think of it as 2 or 3 episodes worth of trainer time

really good for the short attention span I have on the trainer, too

Dr Zhivago. You will get a nice long workout, and his misery makes you own life look great.

Can you get videos of the tour? That's the exact kind of stuff I'm looking for.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone.

Don't limit yourself to a movie.
Why not a series?

Total collection of The Simpsons.

That alone will net you THOUSANDS of miles!:love:
