Kampy Kassette Konfusion
I picked up a Campy Chorus wheelset on eBay but am now confused by the
wide price spread of 10sp campy compatible cassettes available on eBay.
Record, Chorus, Veloce, centaur, Ti, "All-Ti", new, used...
I gather lighter=$$$
but:
Different cog sizes = diff materials on diff models? (all cogs steel
vs only larger cogs titanium vs all cogs ti?)
Aluminum??
Do cassette cogs wear badly? Almost considered consummables??
Are All years of Campy cassettes cross-compatible?
Best Bang-for-buck??
Thanks!
(PS I am avid recreational & cheap.. no $250 all ti cassettes!

Generally speaking more $$ = lighter and more Ti bits.
More Ti bits = not as long lasting.
All 10 speed spaced Campy cassetes are compatible. AFAIK
Cassettes are a consumable item, how fast they are consumed can very greatly.
Best bang for the buck depends on how much of a gram ***** you are. I like Centaur personally.

Thanks for that.. I'm an old fart.. used to lifetime regina freewheels. :-o went googling.. getting a sense about this. and imagine biggest risk on ebay is a ground down used item. I like one post I saw: "10 speed record cassette. TOASTED" and later: "THIS CASSETTE IS WORN OUT AND PROBABLY WILL NOT RIDE SMOOTHLY ON YOUR BIKE"
...at least there are still some honest folk.
