Looking for new wheel set
I've been riding in and around Shanghai and I would like to get another wheel set with slicks to make it easier on flat roads. Right now I have Alex rims and big knobby tires, which are good on a trail. but slow in the city. Any suggestions as for the rims?

Don't worry about the rims, just change the tires out. Go to a 26" High Pressure slick like the Kenda Quest, or any of the others. The rims you have will accept a 26X1.5 slick with extreme ease. Tires are interchangable within a certain range.
