    Chicago Schwinn 10-speed mystery bike?

I have an old schwinn 10speed that i have been working on. The entire time i've had it ive assumed it was continental because of the aluminum handlebars and general similar design yet slightly upgraded components compared to my friend's varsity. Still... no idea of year or even confirmation of it being a continental. It has the chicago schwinn plate on the front and a serial number CV512911.

Can anyone help me identify it?

Early '70's Continentals had aluminum stem/bars, steel rims, Huret RD, tubular (as opposed to solid) forks, centerpull brakes, stem shifters and lead packed away inside the ElectroForged frame.

Hard to tell, so many parts have been replaced. Not sure if Varsity and Conti bare frames were the same.
Looks like a replacement fork, hubs, bars. chain(!!). Looks like original huge steel spoke protector. Do you need that with a fixed?

ahh. so the fork and hubs are also a replacement... The bars, are the original i just decided to do a good ol' chop n flop. The old chain was already quite stretched so i thought it was time for a new one. And thanks for pointing out the spoke protector... I'll take that out asap.

So in summary my bike is just an old schwinn with a clusterf*ck of parts?

looks like thats what you got it, would be better if you could take the pictures of the driveside of the bike.
I don't do vintage, I bought them new, rode them, kept them. Now they are just old bikes
