Hey - I raced in the Black Fly Challenge this weekend, and did a bit of a write-up, from my own twisted perspective.
I was camping in the plains this weekend. Went fishing before the bikes came through so I didnt see any of the race but I'm sure it was a good time!
Just read your write-up. Wow! Knowing the terrain of the plains & surrounding roadways, I can't imagine doing the ride on a uni, or anything else with only 2 gears for that matter. Good job, congrats on your finish!

Wow is the word. And yeah, I hadn't even considered a unicycle with a brake.
Sounds like locking the rear brake in the middle of a wheelie, only maybe faster action.. . . use the brake, a tricky skill on a unicycle, just maybe not until the next hill.
Some people are like a Slinky ... not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.
