Dynohub for 135mm width forks

Hi, am looking at the surly pugsley but the front fork uses a rear hub. I was wondering if a dynohub will work with these forks or will I have to find a different frame/ forks?

Thanks
Daven

As far as I know, all generator hubs are standard fork width- 100mm, so they won't work in the Pugsley's 135mm width fork. See http://www.sheldonbrown.com/frame-spacing.html.

An alternative is to try a sidewall dynamo, like this one: http://www.velo-orange.com/spdy.html

The Pugsley is unique, so a sidewall dynamo may not fit or work with its tires, but at $20 it's worth a try :)

Interesting situation. I suspect you are probably going to be the best off using battery lights.

Surly does offer an alternative 100mm DO width Pugsley fork too.

Fantastic, thanks. Do you have to buy this separately or do shops sell it with the frame?
