New lockable bike

Yes, somebody else posted it here somewhere a week or so ago but what I really want to know is - Yes, it's a clever design but who would compromise integrity of their bike frame (and possibly life) for a dubious advantage of wrapping a bike around a lamppost? Who would be the first crash dummy to make sure that this bike doesn't do it's bendy act while you riding it at 30mph downhill?
