A new road bike caught my eye
I've been thinking about getting a road bike alot lately and today I was in the local bike shop and I saw a new Schwinn Le Tour Sport, I talked to the owner, and he's willing to give me what I feel is a pretty good deal. The bike list for $899.00 but I can get it for $830.00 out the door price thats tax set-up, everything, if I had to pay list price, and tax the bike would come to $971.00, so thats about $141.00 saveings. Acording to the specs on Kozy cyclery the bike has Simano 105 rear derailer, a Tiagra front derailer, a carbpn fork, a carbon seat post FSA Vero crank set, Contenental Ultra Sport 700x28c tires, Tektro brakes, and STI Tiagra shifters. If I get this bike I plan on useing it for my daily morning rides, that are now up to 15 miles per day, Im currantly riding a Trek Navagator 2.0 which is a fine bike in every respect, but I think with a road bike I can get a better work-out, the biggest complaint I have with my Trek is that it's a comfort bike, and it's very comfortable indeed, but the comfortable upright position is a double edge sword, while the upright position is very comfortable, when there is a wind even a 10 mph wind my upright body acts like a sail, and catches all the wind, I think with a road bike it will be easier to ride with a head wind, or side wind, also the bike is half the weight of my Trek. So what do you all think?
