it's more comfortable than pants. sure i wear shorts or leggings underneath, but i feel that some of the comments i get are unnecessary. give it if i was only wearing the shorts or leggings, no one would give it a second thought, but i feel more naked with just that, which is why i'm not comfortable with it. not too much of a problem really, just venting.

I get the stupid comments too regardless if it is a skirt, shorts or pants. I just ignore them or tell folks not to be so rude. Some are shocked by my comment back then apologize.

Check this out: https://www.utilikilts.com/
Edit: Oops. Sorry for the duplication. didn't notice the other post. But those things are pretty cool. I saw a couple of guys wearing them on a construction site two or three years ago, and I've been threatening to order one ever since.

As long as you're not violating any public indecency laws what you wear is your own business.

Is the kilt thing a Scot thing or something else?
Not tempted to try a kilt for recumbent riding. Can you say 'parachute effect'? Not to mention 'Look at my stuff!'

I know a recumbent guy who wears kilts... just not while riding the 'bent. He does ride his upright bike with a kilt. He also has a utilikilt for working at the bike shop.

Cover up immediately.
It's obvious that you're not aware of proper cycling attire for a lady.
For your edification, this is what I and my friends wear when we go cycling.
Seriously, I wear those wicking type shorts with the 6-7 inch inseam. No one bothers me but hey, I'm probably a whole lot older than you and I ride a trike. Those two things (being much older and riding a trike) are definite guy repellents. Thank God. I had enough of that when I was waaaayyyy younger.
Probably the only time I didn't get comments was when I wore a long skirt. For some reason wearing a long skirt was also a guy repellent.
Oh well, pigs will be pigs but I can well understand why you get fed up with it.

I rode in a skirt today. Zoic makes some cute shirt/shorts sets. And they don't totally look like cycling clothes.
