Golf Balls, have you been hit?

Once, almost a second time. About 2 years ago I was riding near a golfcourse, I hear a ball hit next to me then bounce up and hit me in the ribs. Later I met another rider that was hit by a golfball , fell and broke his collarbone. Ended up getting money and upgrade his bike to a pretty nice full carbonfiber roadie! Heck, if I had known! Nah, wouldn't have worked for me, I'm not a very good actor!

Last week I was riding in the same area when I hear a ball hitting the branches. It was hitting the very edges so it still had some speed. It bounced right in front of me. I tried to reach up to grab it but it bounced too high and no way could I jump up from the bike! It bounced about 6 inches over my hand or I would have had me a shiny new golfball.

I'm not sure if it's luck that I haven't actually been hit or or bad luck cause maybe somebody is aiming for me!

I do golf course maintenance. 99 times out of 100 the safest place to be is in the middle of the fairway. It's when you're off to either side that ya' gotta' watch out.

I've had them bounce in front but never a hit. Wear a hole flag and you'll probably be safe!

There's a golf course about a half mile from my house which I must ride past quite often. After 28 years of cycling, I haven't been hit yet; I figure the odds are turning against me.

I saw a car get hit while I was riding the other way near a golf course. It was amusing and scary at the same time.
