How and Where to Start Knowing Bikes and Parts? (Esp. Road Bikes)
Hello,
I'd like to know how to start familiarize myself with the different bikes and bike parts, such as their quality, value, etc.
For example, where would I find out whether Shimano 105 is a good set? How much should it cost or be worth?
Is there a cycling equivalent of say, Ananadtech or Tomshardware?
Thanks.

This site is good for comparing weights: https://weightweenies.starbike.com/listings.php
This site is good for reviews: https://www.roadbikereview.com/
Those are just examples. Other than searching the various bike forums for info and Googling what you're interested in, there's not really a resource I'm aware of that comprehensively compares and contrasts bikes and parts in any objective way.
Every vendor thinks their stuff's the cat's ass otherwise they'd just throw in the towel.
