Wellgo WPD 823 pedals

anyone run these? THey are spd compat and they are onsale right now for 15 bucks. Seems like a great deal provided i dont have to buy them every 3 months I would basically use these for road rides so the thrashing of rocks other mtb abuse wouldnt be present.

Anyone using them regularly? I have used the Wellgo W01 units and at $29....they are pretty darn good. No problems. to report out of them. Id just like another set of pedals for a second bike rather than swapping the W01s each time i want to switch bikes for the day.

I have been through a couple of sets of Wellgo SPD pedals, which both lasted a year or a bit longer. The latching mechanism broke on both but they worked well until that happened. The Wellgo cleats also work on the Shimano pedals which I have been using since, but dont release quite as cleanly.

i had a slow motion crash because the latching mechanism broke on one and i couldn't get my foot
detached despite my best attempts
