Warning!
Hello,
I just wanted to let every one know bikeshacksonline.com is a FRAUD! DO NOT buy from them! A guy I know got caught in it. He dished out 500 dollars for a bike and never saw hide nor hair of it. The same person/people are running several fraudulent/fake online stores. I mainly just wanted to get the word out and warn my fellow cyclists. If anyone has a means to spread the word about this, I would greatly appreciate you doing so in whatever fashion you can. I figured that this was a good place to start. Best regards. |
Well, dang. They even have the "Internet Authorized Retailer" badge.
Srsly, though, thanks for the heads up. |
IM gonna sick the gov on that ! lol
Didn't "the guy" use a credit card? Then the card company could handle the mess.
I looked it up and the first hit spells it like this: "BikesHackOnLine." Appropriate.
They claim to sell a Surly LHT (no way to choose size) for $650. I don't think Surly allows dealers to sell online.
yeah, I feel bad for your friend, but jeez, this site looks in no way trustworthy, even on first glance
based in england yet all the price's are in dollars .
that send's alarm bells ringing for sure . |
A bit of googling turns up this post.
the fact that they won't take Paypal, only western union, that's a red flag.
