this post brought to you by my helmet

i'm sitting in the hospital for the fourth consecutive night after a nasty accident wednesday evening. among other things, i hit my head extremely hard on a concrete curb. had i not been wearing a helmet there is no chance i'd sitting here writing this post. i will be spreading the helmet gospel far and wide.

Glad you're ok. I always wear my helmet even when giving the bike a test ride around the block after a new part install.

Glad you're ok.
I guess thats why a helmet is called a brain bucket. It keeps your head safe.

When I was young I got knocked out by hitting my head too hard on the road ( I was wearing a helmet, and it was my first bike with multiple gears), Even though i'm a far more experienced rider now compared to before, I wouldn't ever ride my bike with out one. There will always be people justifying anything to make them feel okay w/o wearing one... but when something bad happens to them, its a drastic change of perspective on life and I bet you they will be wearing a helmet from that point on. I'ts good to see that your okay. Hope that doesn't stop you from enjoying the sport....take care bro

Acorn what kind of helmet were you wearing? Might as well give a company props when their product works. Hope your healing goes well; good luck.

Good for you for being smart enough to wear one and for spreading the word. Sadly, stupidity is legal and will always be with us so not everyone will follow your intelligent example. Good luck with your recovery.

Glad you survived.

But inquiring minds also want to know... "How's your bike?"

If you write to the company with those props they may send you another one. Glad your helmet did it's job.

It's a Giant, and not even an expensive one. Best $40 I've ever spent, that's for sure.
