Any thoughts on the Vredestein Volante TriComp Road Tire?
I was thinking of picking up a pair, since they're nearly on clearance at Nashbar. Anyone have experience with them? Do they last a while? I'd like to put about 2000- 3000 miles on it without worrying about going over a pebble and getting a hole in them. I like that you can really pump them up with a lot of air- that's what I'm looking for! And I'd like a tire with reduced rolling resistance.

Koffee, I don't know much about the Volante TriComps, but I recently retired my Fortezza TriComps after 4,000 miles and only one puncture. In fact, I liked the Fortezza TriComps so much that I bought a pair of Vredestein Fortezza SEs from Performance (Nashbar's sister company).
I wouldn't pay too much attention to tire reviews on roadbikereview.com. From what I've seen disgruntled tire customers are the vast majority of posters on tire reviews, regardless of brand.

Just to be fair, the fortezza tricomps got much better reviews than the volante.

Not necessarily by color. Color is second, but long lasting durability comes first. I just want to match, that's all. Nothing wrong with that. I am actually holding out until I get to Interbike, but if I see something in the meantime, I ain't stupid. I'm going to buy it while it's on sale! Don't hate the player... hate the game!

I believe it's even cheaper if you're a member, and I checked my LBS, one retails them for $60 EACH or $110 for a pair, the other is $100 a pair and $60 each.
