Depends on the ride...

If I want to go hard, Linkin park, Korn, Soundgarden, GNR, Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, Old Rap, etc..

If I want to go mellow: Airborne Toxic Event, Silversun Pickups, Pearl Jam, Manchester Orchestra

or:

NPR Podcast or a book....

As far as the new song? No thanks. Roth was good. Lennon was better. I like Jump. I like Imagine. I do not like them all mashed up....

I rarely listen to music while riding, but if I did I would listen to something meditational, something like this,

I like listening to european metal at home, but I don't think I would listen to it while I ride.

I may have music in my head when I ride, but not in my ears. They are reserved for use as safety devices while I'm riding.

Don't ride with any form of music for safety reasons. But many, many moons ago when I was racing the song most played on the car tape deck and then the ORIGINAL Walkman was Radar Love from Golden Earring.

Right headphone only and when roads are calm and quiet.

Earlier this week I posted to this thread on the Fifty Plus Forum, “proper music for us folks”:

About a year ago I started this thread on the Fifty Plus Forum since it seems I hadn’t heard of many songs recommended by subscribers on other Forums:

Cycling Playlist Exchange

My intention was to have subscribers, particularly from the Fifty Plus Forum put their playlists on their Private Profiles (My Profile) to show off as suggestions for good cycling tunes. Mine are mainly Big Band and Golden Oldies (see My Profile), divided between before and after 1950; the latter group almost all before 1980. Now that’s proper.
