Very strange hip injury?

So, I took a century ride a couple weeks ago. Felt ok afterwards except my left hip right at the joint was a little sore. Took a day off and tried to take an easy ride the day after. Left hip joint started to bother me maybe ten miles in but what really worried me was my left leg just would not make any power. Couldnt even get out of the saddle unless I held myself up by the bars. When I got home my Wife noticed that my left leg from the knee down was cold even though the rest of me was hot.

I figured I must have just strained something so I took a week off the bike but even walking at work it would start to hurt right at the joint then the leg would get weak and cold like I slept on it or something.

I`m going to try to get to a doctor soon but was wondering if anybody here has ever heard of such an injury?

Yep, wife wife has it. Not your hip but most likely sciatica in your spine.
MRI time.

yes, I go with his theory - your spine has pinched some nerves that go to your leg, damn nuisance. I get it a bit and you gotta learn what will upset it and what won't

Looking up Ortho doctors that take my insurance now. It`s the leg going colder than the rest of me that has me kinda freaked out.

That does sound a bit worrisome. If it just came out of the blue it would be more worrisome rather than following a century. Still, you need to get it checked out.
