lame, yes but I can't make a decision.

the choices:

the bike:

The blue matches well. I originally wanted white but that'll probably get dirty too fast. I'm leaning towards blue/white or blue/black. Kinda tired of plain black.

Any suggestions?

If you plan on keeping black tyres, blue/black will work VERy nicely. But taking into consideration the decals on the frame, blue/white will also go nicely. What color cycling gear do you have?

Oh yeah, definately the blue/white combo. And a white saddle would top it off nicely.

Unfortunately I already have a black saddle and will be keeping the black tires. The drop bars are also black(or unpainted).

And I don't exactly have any cycling wear yet

I gotta say, go with the black. It'll look good with the tires and saddle, as well as not showing dirt and grime. For more of that white look, get a white bottle cage and white housing for cables. Take a look at my Bridgestone. I know it has a white fork and stays, but I think you'd have a similar effect.

You can have an color you wish as long as it's black.

I run white bar tape on my commuter and it works out fine. If you're worried about getting the tape greasy you can buy vinyl tape that can be cleaned. I think the brand is Benotto.

There's several good choices, but if you want a cool retro look for this bike white is the obvious choice.

Yellow! Would add a nice touch of zazzy color to an otherwise plain (no offense intended) bike.

Black should be the only coulor bar tape is avalible in. Every other color looks cheesy unless you're a pro.

Just curious, why is it ok for a pro to have colors?

I'll most likely stick to black or maybe black/blue

White with cork specks. So what if it gets dirty - a bike was meant to be used, and changing every season or so is good maintenance.

Blue with white specks. That way it matches the bike, blue with white lettering.

I would go with blue/black. White often gets crappy looking after a while. Plus the color combo it will match your saddle and frame as well

'Cause the pros are good enough to get paid to have it.

Yellow/Red

Or is that yellow / orange. I completely color blind, if it weren't for Garanimals, I'd be screwed.

if you want to keep your bar looking clean, then go for pure black. if not, go for the bar-tape-blue and white.

I would go with black or blue. One time I tried a black/white tape and removed it quickly. It was way to flashy for me. Normally, I buy plain black tape.

You're really looking too much into this thread I just wanted to see what other people think.

Anyways, those who didn't think this was a life decision for me, thanks for your opinions. I think I'll just stick with black because I don't really want that flashy of a bike. I'll pick white one of these seasons and see how I like it.

No,i guess i'm just pooped out on others wanting someone else to set up there bike. What color, white or black but dont ask about 10 different colors. Sometimes i think riders just asks a question so they can let everyone know what a cool bike they think they have. It most likly just me. But all the forums are starting to get old with the same questions over and over and over, day in and day out. Getting a bit stale.

I asked about 2 colors, maybe 3. Look at my bike, do you think I'm doing it because I'm showing off how cool it is? It's a 20 year old bike

Now I know why I'm always tentative about posting threads.
