Dear Bike Thieves...

I wish you had read up on Sheldon brown's locking methods before you tried to jack my bike as it would have saved you the disappointment in discovering that you could not have my bike and saved me the hassle of having to replace the rear wheel you f'd up.

Here's the link.

https://www.sheldonbrown.com/lock-strategy.html

You should also consider yourself to be blessed that I did not catch you trying to steal my ride.

I am pretty good with wheels but there isn't much I will be able to do with this except salvage the hub.

Can you show a picture of the lock?

By the way. Glad to hear that you got to keep your bike, even though it was damaged.

Lock is a Kryptonite... was shackled to a big steel crash barrier which was almost too big for the lock to fit around.

The drive side chain stay was dented as I figure it got slammed into the barrier but we dent chain stays all the time and it did not effect the alignment and it gave me an excuse to fit better wheels.

Having this bike stolen would really suck as it is 1:1 and a freaking amazing bike to ride.

That's not too bad; just take the brake off the back, ride slow, and enjoy the gentle sway like riding a drunken, ******** horse.

That is how I went home... was not too worried about the rear wheel suffering any more damage and it was not a long ride.
