Because you'll be running up stairs instead of using the lift.

Being fit is good for your sex life .

You get to learn a whole new skillset fixing your bike.

Going out for a ride prevents being stuck in the house bored.

Plenty more I'm sure...

Welcome back!

Well, here are a few photos with what I hope are motivating captions:

Why get back into cycling?

Because the feeling of accoplishment can't be beat after those grueling climbs!

Because the commoderie among cyclists can't be beat!

Because 13% means so much more from the back of a bicycle!

Because you can get out on the road less traveled.

Because after you struggle up all those damn hills, it's glorious downhill all the way to the next damn hill. And the downhills feel sooooooo good.

Great to hear, Dex! Man, I knew something was amiss when I passed you on activebody.org! Now, get out and have fun! I look forward to your photos!

Bob

Edit: The photos are of a ride I did with the bikejournal.com First Union attendees on the Talimena Scenic Byway in AR/OK.
