Long line to get in but there are some deals to be had once you're inside. I went to the SF one last year.

I'm planning to go to Denver's this Saturday. If nothing else, it should be cool to see what's new and take in plenty of that "new bike" smell...

If you go I'd recommend getting tickets early at Rei or a bike shop.

Veloswap was awesome! It was my first time going so I had no idea what to expect - there were many thousands of people! I got there when the doors opened and several booths were like a feeding frenzy. I understood why after learning that most things there were anywhere from 25-75% off! An example: I got 2 pairs of Pearl Izumi Microsensor bib shorts - normally $140 each - for a total of $150! I was tempted to get a pair of prescription sunglasses - marked down about 45% - but even with that my wallet begged for mercy! lol

Anyway, for those considering going to the Chicago or San Francisco Swaps, it's most definitely worth the cost of admission. Especially if you're actually looking for something - deals can be made!

Here are a few shots - the lighting wasn't the best so some of the pics are a bit fuzzy - but it gives you the idea:

One of the many, many swap booths.

Row after row looked like this. It was somtimes tough to make your way through the crowds, go with a little patience.

Some booths were better organized than others - but if you were willing to dig, bargains could most definitely be found!

Wow lofter, I haven't a clue. All I can tell you is that there were A LOT of bikes there. Many older frames/complete bikes and some newer - a few brand new at great prices. Other than that, I can't really say. I was honestly there more to look cycling accessories than actual bikes.
