Would you wear a bikeforums.net jersey or accessory?
The question arose that when the 05 Jersey's become available would it be considered okay to wear them? I don't see why the hell not....

Good poll. I would wear both! This site rocks! I would be happy to show my support!

but how fast/far do I have to be able to cycle to justify wearing one- you often read comments in the forum like you cant wear a team jersey unless you are good enough to be in a team- cant buy a good bike unless you are really fast and do X miles per week..etc or maybe we should just ignore them and buy one

Still kicking.
As long as I can get one in a baggy baggy BMX stlye jersey I'd be set.

We already have a design that a number of us bought.
Why have a new design? Keep it the same.
Sadly, they were a European cut, and mine didn't fit at all, so my wife wears it.

No offense but I really hope the color combo is drastically different this time. Perhaps a red, silver and black one or blue, silver and black or something? Can't wait to see the new design and apparently I'm not the only one.

Too many jerseys, too many short/bibs, too many T-shirts & I don't usually wear socks except when it's cold...
Aside from that, it's a great idea for many folks who don't have a club affiliation and who would rather wear a kit that means something to them vs. commercial kits. This past winter I designed and produced a jersey for our off-road tandem enthusiast's discussion forum based on member requests and it was a big hit for those who were interested.

As a sponsored rider I'd wear the billboards. No way if I have to pay. Think of it this way. If you gave me the advertizing attire for free(maybe a $100 investment) and I wore it to any riding event that had riders that were not aware of the forum, you would likely have some new members later that day. Compound this by more riding events. Your paying sponsors like Nasbar ..... would get more exposure and more marketing and sell more stuff which makes your product, the forum, more valuable to them. This would enable you to entice other paying sponsors to your forum bringing far more $ in than the original $100 investment and maybe even the leverage of charging Nasbar more. Now your logic probably goes along the lines that if you can attract enough interested parties to pay for the attire and still get the same advertizing return plus keep the $100 which probably has a nice profit margin built in. But if you gave all forum members the attire for free and a majority wore it during their 1000's of riding miles then exposure would be better than a 30 second ad blip during the superbowl. It would be as prevalent as the Nike swosh and targeted directly to the intended audience.
BTW as a matter of principal I take off or cover the Nike swosh on all Nike stuff I own. Why should Tiger Woods and other celebs receive millions to wear the swosh and us mere mortals not have a chance at even a tiny % of that for effectively doing the same thing.

I would not be ABLE to wear any of the clothing offered as it
would all be to small. Also it would be nice if hat /lapel
pins were offered along with tee shirts in larger sizes (3x)
with pockets.
My point is that with the arrival of the 50+ forum it would
not be wise to ignore us older (& heavier) folks that still
enjoy cycling. Would I buy a tee or pin to support the
fourms?? In a heartbeat I would!!!

Can't please all the people all the time. I like the old jersey. (a club cut would be preferred) I am a BF supporter, so what ever Joe decides, I'm in. Its about our community here. Not advertising, teams, nor fashion.
Its about supporting "OUR" community of friends here. Many of us feel very much at home here and look forward to meeting each other. The jerseys will help to facilitate that in group events.

I love BF as much as you do, but that doesn't mean I'm going to pay for a jersey that I find ugly.

No offense konarider24, but I think that Joe is having the designs somewhat professionally done. Good effort though.

Actually, last time they were designed by a couple of our members/moderators.
I second the suggestion of a BMX/MX type jersey in addition to a s/s three pocket type.

Jerseys - LS/SS choices and various pocket options (none, back, front, chest)
Tshirts - ditto the choices and options
Both with more visible color choices
Caps - cycling (i.e., HeadSweats) and baseball style

good thing is, is that you can get other riders into the forums aswell if they see you riding with it on. And you can reconise other forum members, it really like a massive club almost

Yeah, sell them in Europe. I agree, they will not fit . This is the USA ?
