The wierdest thing is the lbs. They dont sell much stuff, tires, freewheels and spokes. I think the bikes outside are used and forsale. I guess the wierdest thing are the plastic "brooks" saddles on the bikes.

The weird part is the "mower" was a reel type mower with the rear half of a bicycle welded on to the handle of the mower. It actually looked like it would work. That way you could cut your grass and get your riding in at the same time. This picture was hanging in a small restaurant with the contact phone number.

My LBS had a strange tiny (yet intended for adults) bike with skateboard-like solid rubber wheels.
I wasn't sure if it was a custom job or not.

Hmm strangest thing? This has been creeping in for several years now. My FBS used to be considered THE bike shop in town. All of the local racers did their buisness there and the majority of the group rides left from there. Now they are struggling to stay afloat. This bike shop now sells bikes, Home brewing supplies, Billiards and dart supplies and does custom tailoring as well as Tux rentals. Makes me sad to see a Yellow jersey hanging on the wall (Owner is a family friend of Claudio Chiappucci has one of his bikes there too) next to a sign for Tux rentals.

A Bell child's trailer $180. The K-Mart 1 mile away only charges $115 for the exact same thing. These guys are real swindlers, and not just for the trailer. So I ride across town...
The weirdest thing I've noticed that most LBS's have in common is the guy who has a $4000 carbon frame with titanium nuts and bolts and weighs 300 pounds!
