BeyondBikes.com ordering slow?

This is not a bash thread... I'm just wondering if any of you have ever ordered from beyondbikes.com, how long did it take for your order to be shipped?

I ordered on the October 14, and I haven't heard a peep out of them, and my online order status shows that they haven't processed my CC, and my CC online shows no charges from them. I've sent a follow up email this morning..

It's now 10/19/04... If this is the norm, this is really slow for an online retailer I have ever seen..

They have real nice selections, I hope this is just a fluke

That's absurd. They should have either contacted you by now to let you know if the item(s) are out of stock, back ordered, etc. You've waited a month and nothing? I'd find a different retailer.

No no no... not a month.. that would be 5 days... heh. Still, 5 days is a real long time.

I'm giving it a few days then putting in a block on my CC and going elsewhere, but I dont wanna... I just wish they would contact me

AHhhhhhh I just got off phone with those guys. Turns out they're rolling out a new website, one that will allow them to indicate when a product is backordered, which was the whole problem to begin with..

They were very kind to me, even when I decided to cancel the whole order altogether instead of ship parts of it while waiting for one product.

I might give them another chance later

Gee, they didn't charge your card even though it was backordered. Somebody oughta tell these guys that's not the norm. Freakin Performance just loves to charge me for crap I won't see for two to three weeks

Bump!

Not a fan. I ordered something and noted that I needed it quickly, hence my choosing to use them (they're only about 90 miles away), and was told (several days later) that the order would likely ship up to 10 days from the order date when they quoted 0-5. Not cool. Their order tracking link generator's broken, and their response to my email had as many syllables as I have fingers.

In fairness, if they make it right I'll post back here, but I doubt they will (it's bad to be jaded, I know).

Hence the bump! Anyway, the context here is meaningful. Two years later and people are having the same bad experiences with the company; not a good sign.

Update: I asked 'em to cancel my order, but they didn't respond. I bugged them, and they finally confirmed.

My update to this thread. Order placed May 5, 2007. Called last week. One item will be in this week and one item backordered for 4 weeks. Split into two orders. Will ship first part of order week of May 14th. Well it is the 18th, no shipment made, called. Oh 2 items on your original order were not in stock and we issued a purchase order to get the stuff? Total BS. Also charged my card for the item which is backorderd 4 weeks and said I could cancel and reorder if I wanted my money back. I will give them till may 25th to ship or cancel. This is the same BS I got from Blue Sky Cycling. Stuff on the web site not in stock, charge your card and hope your a sucker.
