I have a Raleigh Mojave 5.0 with a 22" frame that I bought about 5 years ago. It came with a Sigma Sport BC 800 computer. The battery recently died and now I have to reset the computer all over again.

My question is, how do I determine the wheel size? In the Sigma Sport manual, it has numbers that do not correlate with any numbers on the bike tire. The tire is a Moto Raptor 28 x 49/52.

The best wat to determine the wheel size is to measure it. Start with the valvestem at the bottom of the wheel on a mark, like a sidewalk expansion joint. Roll the bike forward until the valvestem is at the bottom again. Measure the distance between the starting and ending points. This makes up for differences in the actual size of your tire vs the standard for the stated size.

I have tried your suggestion and my wheel size is 83 inches which converts to 2,108.2 MM. When I take this measurement to the BC800 Manual, I cannot determine what code to program into to BC800. I have attached the page of the manual. Maybe someone can decipher?

If you want it to read out in KPH enter 2108. If you want MPH, enter 3109, which is 2108/1.61. I didn't realize that that model doesn't automatically convert. Mt BC1706 gives me the choice of KPH or MPH with the same wheel measurement.
