I just traded a pair of pedals here for a nifty set of Scott aerobars which I had my LBS put on my bike (a converted MTB). Photo below. It looks nice but ... I tried riding with them and I can't seem to get a good balance. I think part of this is just I can't quite get over my fear of falling, like I don't have control of my bike. Is this normal? Can you get used to it? Is there anything I can do to practice? Any tips or suggestions? I'm open to any suggestions. I put them on to give me some extra hand positions -- I type at my computer all day and have some trouble with my hands -- and thought it might be a way to give them a rest on longer rides.
But now I'm thinking maybe it's not gonna work. Thanks in advance.
