It didnt went through the tire completely, did not touch the tube. I just put some glue on the outside and a patch on the inside and looks good to go. It was the rear tire, its on the front now.

Or maybe you should help old ladies, perhaps if i didnt, that glass would of made some real damage. Oh well...

Until you mentioned the glass, I thought the old lady took out a switchblade and cut your tire because you weren't fast enough or maybe for bruising her melons...

I'm not sure why you would take a damaged rear tyre and move it to the front where it will do far damage if/when it fails!

I glued a front tyre once and did some super-fast mountain descents on it. Next morning, I noticed that the hole had torn open and the tube was bulging through it. I don't glue cut tyres any more ... :twitchy:

Tires are cheao, crashes are expensive...

Seems like poor economy to me.

Haha at "bruising her melons."

I don't understand. How did helping the old lady cause the broken glass to cut your tire? Maybe it had nothing to do with her and, by helping her, you gained enough positive karma to prevent the glass from puncturing your tube.

If, with your tire fully inflated, you can't feel a bump or a blister on your tire, then you haven't cut any of the caseing cords and I wouldn't worry about it. If you can feel a bump, I'd keep it on the rear because I'd rather have a rear tire blow out than a front.

No bump, nothing, thats what i was afraid of myself because i had to take a whole $24.15 from my weekly reefer money for that tire, and its still almost brand new (done like 100 miles tops with it yet). After 10 miles done today, I wanted to check if it has been damaged further and I had trouble locating the spot where the glass was, thats how minor the damage was, it just looked bad but wasnt. Everythingwentbetterthanexpected.

"didn't went"? "would of"?

sam21fire 05-19-11 08:24 PM

...I was thinking maybe she threw her dentures at him and hit the tire...

How did this thread escape from the SS/FG supermax?

Really, is that what passes as a joke these days?
