Asoka-bike?
The 2011 Scott CR1 Elite is going for eight hundred dollars at www.asoka-bike.com, and that is about 1/3 the price of it, normally. I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with this company and are they legit?
I find it interesting that they deal through "bank money transfer" rather than credit card. I have never done a bank money transfer and do not even know what it is or how it is arranged.

They say that they are in Hong Kong and Indonesia. You OK with that?
As I understand a money transfer, once the money goes from your bank to them, it's gone. No credit card company to appeal to in the event of problems. Not sure how helpful a bank would be.

Thanks, Jan. I think I'm going to wait this one out and maybe do some more research. Their bank is in Jakarta. Now, I have heard of Jakarta, but I couldn't tell you which country it is in. Is it Indonesia? That, in-and-of-itself, is not suspicious, but they also say they are in Hong Kong. Also, in the check-out, there is no dedicated space to include the size bike you wish to order. You have to mention it in "additional comments". They are offering a CR1 Elite for the price of an S30 Speedster. Thanks for the info on the money transfer. Sounds like a crap shoot.

Be very cautious if you don't know anything about the company or major details of the transaction.
