A moment in time.
Got a late start this morning, about fifteen miles in I turned on
to the town square trail, fell in behind a couple of riders, about
the same speed as I do, next intersection we picked up a couple
more, then three. Next intersection two more and a police car
waiting at the stop sign. He asked the lead rider, " where you
head'ed", "Town square" was the reply. The police car took the
lead, lights flashing, siren for the intersection and lead the pack
to the town square. We all stopped to get a drink, check out each
others bikes, visit and tell a few yarns. My old Trek seemed to be
the hit of the pack, most of the others were new bikes. Several
high end jobs as well, Orbea's!
Total count, seventeen bikes!
You gonna eat that?
We've had cops spontaneously cork for us or escort us on Critical Mass rides.
