Hello,

I've been having trouble with this pump since I got it. I use schraeder(sp) valves, and that's how my pump is set. The plastic pin points out and the rubber seal sits on top of it, with the plastic pin poking out of the the valve side, ever so slightly. I pump and pump but the tire only deflates. I checked the other thread but the advice was useless to me. Please help!

Sometimes the tube's air pushes the shaft out to the max and sometimes air starts leaking out of the pump! **********?I don't get it!

I think the gold colour piece under the black rubber should have a ball in it that only allows the air to go from the pump to the tire, and not the other way. Maybe this nonreturn valve is defective.

Didn't have a ball when I got it...anyone else have advice?

If it's new take it back to the shop and let them sort it out. Maybe a part is missing, but they should be the ones to fix it. (Of course it could be something hugely stupid and embarassing like putting it on incorrectly in which case you may never dare go into that particular bike shop again.)
