Aesthetics: Stem with Large Rise (~40 degrees)

Can I see photos of your stem with a large rise?

My Surly Cross Check commuter and grocery getter has a very short headtube. To minimize this, I'd like to get a shiny stem with a large rise. I want to see how this looks before purchasing.

Can I see photos of yours?

This is my wife's bike, and it works great. Fits her perfectly, the arrangement works fine, and she loves it.

That doesn't seem to bad at all. Does anyone else have some photos to add?

I took the short steerer thing one step further , acquired a particular stem riser, [BBB BHP21]
to bring the stem up to about where it would have been if the fork was left un cut.

But, You can do that the easy way , order another Cross Check Fork. leave it long,
and add the spacers you need to bring it up high enough ,
Velo Orange is into shiny polished aluminum , they have very nice looking stems.
like this one ..

I actually have plenty of steerer. I left it as much of it on as purpose, but I'm trying to nail down a good height soon.

Also, I think all that steerer looks kind of funny with such a short head tube.

I really like the look of that stem, Fietsbob.

Any idea how I go about picking stem length?
