Vinyl decals of various nation's flags for bicycles

So, I was thinking the other day, that as time goes on I'd like to go bicycling around the world. Then I was thinking, "Hey, it would be really cool if I could put a sticker of a country's flag on my bike whenever I ride through it to denote that this bike had been there". I figure I could paste them randomly around, but predominantly on the top side of the frame's top-tube.

This would require vinyl stickers fairly small; not really any more than an inch to two inches in width. Does anyone know of anything like that, or some kind of special printing service that would print stickers that are road and weather durable? I'd like to buy a whole bunch in preparation of some world trek :)

I collect pins and pin them to my handlebar bag. Unfortunately, I had a large collection of them pinned to my handlebar bag when my bicycle, complete with handlebar bag, was stolen.

So now I've started the collection again.

And $4.50 for 120 assorted decals in a small-ish size, http://www.unflags.com/120ascounfla.html

Topic, made me think of the sewn on patches of various countries and places like national parks
made as souvenirs to sew on panniers and backpacks, etc..

As much as I appreciate some smug answer to a perfectly reasonable question, I'm asking this here because I've already looked on my own and haven't been able to find what I was looking for. I've already seen that site you linked to; given their appearance and lack of description I'm assuming they're printed on heavy paper stock. The only vinyl stickers that site offers are much too large; 3'x5'

I figured that some world-trekker would have done something like this before and would have some advice to offer.

And yeah, I think it'd be really cool to give it that kind of homely traveled look. I figure if I can keep my bike going long enough maybe my kids will ride it, and I'll be able to tell them stories of its flags and scars.

maybe this'll sound kinda weird but.....how about a sheet of stiff plastic cut to fit inside the diamond of the frame? then you could put stickers on both sides
(and maybe get a sponsor?). or, like some rv'ers do, have a map of the world in outline and color in the countries you pass through?

and, as fietsbob mentioned, patches. i have collected patches of places i'd been since i was a child. a few i put on packs, but now they are all in albums,
using acid-free baseball card pages (holds 18, back to back) and pages of 4 and 2 pocket.

Here's a sticker site http://www.flagstickershop.com/reflde.html

If the 2 3/8" X 4" size is still too large it looks like you can get 1" X 1 1/2", but only with the sheet of 6 stickers for $2 option. That size doesn't seem to be available for all of the countries so look for wherever you're travelling, maybe they'll have them.

This looks like just what I was looking for. Thanks! The sheet of 6 stickers is listed as waterproof so they should perform just fine.

Now I just need to get to Europe. :thumb:
