Give me your Bicycle related issues.

Hey,
My name is Zach Vickerson and I'm a member of a design team in the 12th grade Engineering Design and Development (EDD) for Niskayuna High School. The main goal of this class is to design and create a prototype of a solution for a real life problem. My group has decided to pursue a cycling related problem. I've created this thread in order to ask for different problems that people might have with cyling.

When posting a problem you have, think of the phrase "Don't you hate it when...." Problems that we have thought of so far are: don't you hate it when your kickstand doesn't work on rough terrain, don't you hate it when your bike tire pops? I realize these problems are far from perfect, and that is why I have created this thread to ask for the input of the members of Bike forums. Any problems or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Bike security

Cargo-carrying solutions

Visibility, day and night

And make the products usable, rugged, and affordable.

Stay away from trying to re-invent the bicycle seat. Brooks did it over 100 years ago and there has been little improvement since. Likewise new handlebars or drivetrains. Really hard to do better than traditional derailleur or IGH. The bicycle has been around for a long time. This simple machine has seen the best, worst, and most optimistic minds of the last 193 years trying to improve it. It's not impossible, just hard.

At least once or twice a month, this forum gets a post identical to this one. Often wonder where their big ideas went.

Thanks for the suggestions. If anyone else has any, please share them.

And don't worry. I won't you leave hanging as to where we go with this project.

well I said I wouldn't leave you hanging, and I'll stick to my word. Sadly we we're not able to move forward with a bike related issue. Like you said, bikes have seen too many improvements over the years for us to find a viable issue, not that there isn't room for improvement. In the end we've settled for "Don't you hate it when your alarm clock doesn't wake you up?" If you have the time, please fill out our survey, it will really help us out,

I cannot afford to winter on a warm place like this guy, to get others to pay him.

Well thank you. I think you're the first one of an ever-growing number of these sorts of threads to return and tell us what you decided to do.
